La Cantera
La Cantera was once mined for limestone, the region's signature building stone, until the resource ran out, and the land was redeveloped in the mid-1980s. Today the mixed-use district has upscale shopping, dining, lodging and golf, with Six Flags Fiesta Texas as its main attraction.
