Woodlawn Lake

Woodlawn Lake began in the 1880s, when developers dammed Alazan Creek to create West End Lake for a new subdivision, and visitors rode the streetcar out to dance at a pavilion and row boats. Deeded to the city in 1918, the 62-acre park around the 30-acre lake has a 1.48-mile walking trail, fishing from the boat dock and a dog park.
